    The Civilian Secretariat for Police Service (CSP) has announced a variety of job openings for the year 2024. This governmental body, an equal opportunity and gender-sensitive employer, is committed to promoting representivity and fostering diversity in the public service. By opening these positions, Civilian Secretariat for Police Service seeks to support equitable employment and offer meaningful opportunities to youth, women, and individuals with disabilities.


    The positions are primarily based in Pretoria, with travel to Cape Town required during Parliamentary sessions. Interested applicants should note the closing date for applications is December 23, 2024, and no late submissions will be entertained.

    Civilian Secretariat for Police Service Featured Positions

    1. Director: Information Communication Technology and Auxiliary Services

    • Reference Number: CSP/13/2024
    • Location: Pretoria
    • Salary: R1,216,824 per annum (All-inclusive package)
    • Requirements:
      • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Computer Science or Information Technology.
      • At least five years of experience in middle or senior management.
      • Expertise in ICT systems, service frameworks, and budgeting.
    • Responsibilities:
      Overseeing the strategic direction of ICT, managing user support systems, implementing policies, and aligning ICT projects with business objectives. The role also includes supervising security management, auxiliary services, and facilities management.

    2. Deputy Director: Civil Society Partnerships

    • Reference Number: CSP/14/2024
    • Location: Pretoria
    • Salary: R1,003,890 per annum
    • Requirements:
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or equivalent.
      • Experience in stakeholder relations and partnership management.
      • Knowledge of crime prevention frameworks and public participation policies.
    • Responsibilities:
      Managing and coordinating civil society partnerships, maintaining a stakeholder database, and developing crime prevention initiatives. This includes evaluating and improving existing partnership models.

    3. Assistant Director: Public Private Partnerships

    • Reference Number: CSP/15/2024
    • Location: Pretoria
    • Salary: R444,036 per annum
    • Requirements:
      • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or Development Studies.
      • A minimum of three years of experience in stakeholder relations.
      • Familiarity with public-private partnership trends and crime prevention initiatives.
    • Responsibilities:
      Researching and implementing public-private crime prevention strategies, maintaining stakeholder databases, and monitoring partnership effectiveness.

    4. Assistant Director: Internal Audit

    • Reference Number: CSP/16/2024
    • Location: Pretoria
    • Salary: R444,036 per annum
    • Requirements:
      • National Diploma in Auditing/Internal Audit or related fields.
      • Knowledge of Treasury regulations, PFMA, and internal audit standards.
    • Responsibilities:
      Developing audit methodologies, conducting compliance audits, and maintaining governance and risk management structures.

    Key Requirements Across Positions

    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage resources effectively.
    • Familiarity with government systems and policies.

      • Completion of the SMS Pre-Entry Programme is mandatory.
      • This program is administered by the National School of Government (NSG).
      • Proof of completion will be required upon appointment.

      • Applications must reach the office by 16:00 on December 23, 2024.
