    The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) has announced exciting career opportunities for qualified candidates, with a closing date for applications set for 11 November 2024. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications in accordance with the specified requirements to ensure consideration.


    Key Positions Available

    1. Director: ICT Systems Management and Business Intelligence (Ref No: 24/51/CT)

    • Location: National Office, Pretoria
    • Salary: R1,216,824 – R1,433,355 per annum (all-inclusive remuneration package)
    Requirements:
    • An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Information Communication Technology (ICT) or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a middle or senior management position, with at least 3 years specifically in application/software development, database and reports development, application/software support, and maintenance.
    • The Nyukela Certificate, which is a pre-entry qualification for senior management roles, must be obtained from the National School of Government.
    Knowledge and Skills Required:
    • Proficiency in Enterprise Architecture, government-wide architecture frameworks, and various development technologies (e.g., .NET, HTML, XML, JSON, SOAP, CSS, JavaScript, REST web services).
    • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, data analysis and modeling, data warehousing, and application release management.
    • Familiarity with ICT Policy Development, Planning, and Monitoring, as well as various ICT Project Management methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Public Service Regulations, the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and National Treasury Regulations.

    • Manage business intelligence services to enhance data-driven decision-making.
    • Ensure efficient resource management, including human, financial, and other operational resources.

    2. Administrative Support & Coordination Officer (Ref No: 24/69/MIN)

    • Location: National Office, Pretoria
    • Salary: R849,702 – R1,000,908 per annum (all-inclusive remuneration package)
    Requirements:
    • A degree or equivalent qualification in Public Administration/Public Management at NQF Level 6.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role (Assistant Director level).
    • Thorough knowledge of the legislative framework governing the Public Service, including political and parliamentary processes, financial management regulations, and cabinet frameworks.
    Skills and Competencies:
    • Strategic thinking, financial management, project management, and team leadership.
    • Ability to manage information, communications, and conflict resolution.
    • Strong organizational skills, with a focus on impact and continuous improvement.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate administrative activities within the office of the executive authority.
    • Serve as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders concerning the executive authority’s portfolio.
    • Oversee cabinet/executive council support services and ensure efficient resource management.

    Important Application Information

    • Form Z83: Applications must be submitted using the new Form Z83, which can be found at public service departments or online.
    • SAQA Evaluation Report: Applicants with foreign qualifications must attach a SAQA evaluation report.
    • Additional Requirements for SMS Posts: Candidates for Senior Management Service (SMS) positions must complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance. A pre-entry certificate from the National School of Government is also required for all SMS positions.
