The Government Pensions Administration Agency (GPAA) has announced job openings for various positions within the organisation. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date of 02 June 2023, before 12h00 noon. It is important to note that late applications will not be considered, so applicants must ensure their submissions are received on time.

    Overview

The Government Pensions Administration Agency (GPAA) provides an opportunity for individuals to apply for various positions within the organisation. Interested applicants should ensure they meet the requirements and submit their applications before the specified closing date. The GPAA is committed to promoting representativeness and encouraging the application of disabled persons. Successful candidates can expect an inclusive remuneration package based on the salary level of the position.

    The New Z83 Application Form

Starting from 1 January 2021, a new application for employment (Z83) form has been introduced. Therefore, it is crucial to use the updated form for applications. Any submissions made using the old Z83 form will be considered regrets. Individuals applying for a position after 1 January 2021 must utilize the new application for employment form, which can be downloaded from either the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) website (www.dpsa.gov.za-vacancies) or the GPAA website (http://www.gpaa.gov.za).

    Requirements for Application

To apply, individuals are required to submit a signed Z83 application form and a comprehensive CV via email to the designated email address mentioned in the respective advert. It is essential to use the correct inbox/email for submission, as applications sent to the wrong address will be disregarded. Additionally, applicants must ensure they sign their Z83 form before scanning it. The signature or a valid e-signature should be used, and typing or writing the name in block print will not suffice. Failure to sign the Z83 form will result in the application being deemed invalid.

    Shortlisting and Interview Process

Shortlisted candidates will be required to participate in a virtual or in-person panel interview at a date and time determined by the GPAA. It should be noted that information provided in the application, such as the CV and Z83 form, may be verified through the request for official documents or other methods of verification when shortlisted. The certification of all supporting documents will be expected from the shortlisted candidates only.

    Pre-Employment Checks and References

Pre-employment checks and references, including security clearance, security vetting, qualification/study verification, citizenship verification, financial/asset record checks, previous employment verification, and criminal record checks, will be conducted once candidates are shortlisted. Applicants must also meet vetting requirements prescribed by Minimum Information Security Standards.

Promoting Representativeness and Encouraging Disabled Persons

The GPAA aims to promote representativeness through the filling of these posts and will give preference to candidates whose appointment will promote representativeness. Disabled persons are particularly encouraged to apply.

    Inclusive Remuneration Package

For positions with salary levels 11-15, the inclusive remuneration package comprises a basic salary, the state’s contribution to the Government Employees Pension Fund, and a flexible portion in accordance with applicable rules.
