    Qualifications and Competencies:

    • An appropriate undergraduate qualification at NQF level 6 in Computer Science, Information Science, or Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.

    Experience:

    • 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in Information Technology.

    Driver’s License:

    • A valid motor vehicle driver’s license (excluding persons with disabilities).

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Acts, policies, and procedures.
    • Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
    • Strong communication and listening skills.
    • Effective interpersonal relationship abilities.
    • Capacity to perform under pressure.
    • Competence in conflict management.
    • Skills in policy analysis and interpretation.
    • Proficiency in report writing.
    • Ability in problem analysis and analytical thinking.
    • Commitment to honesty and confidentiality.
    • Customer care proficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor information systems to ensure functionality and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with SITA (State Information Technology Agency) to monitor and optimize information technology services.
    • Implement national legislation related to Information Technology to ensure compliance and adherence.
    • Maintain and update IT systems and networks to keep them current and secure.
    • Monitor and provide advice on appropriate Information Technology infrastructure to support organizational needs and growth.
