Key Requirements
- A three-year Diploma or Degree in Policing.
- A minimum of three years’ experience as an Investigator.
- Completion of a Detective Learning Programme or Resolving of Crime will be an added advantage.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Strong knowledge of the gambling industry and its governing legislation.
- In-depth understanding of police administration.
- Knowledge of cyber and/or forensic investigation.
- Ability to work under pressure and long hours.
- Familiarity with Law Enforcement administration procedures.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills.
- Computer skills.
- No criminal record or previous convictions.
Key Duties
As a Law Enforcement Inspector, you will play a vital role in regulating gambling activities in the province by performing the following duties:
- Investigating illegal gambling activities.
- Opening dockets and attending court hearings.
- Recording and managing information related to cases.
- Maintaining a record of informer networks.
- Handling and disposing of exhibits.
- Assisting other law enforcement agencies in registering case files.
- Testifying in court.
- Managing the administration of case files.
