    Legal Aid Vacancies

    1. Systems Analyst Programmer (SharePoint Developer)

    • Reference: NO/IS/SAP/SP/07/02/2025
    • Location: National Office, Braamfontein (Information Systems Department)
    • Salary: Level 12 (R1,003,890.00 per annum, all-inclusive package)
    • Closing Date: 25 February 2025

    Job Overview

    Legal Aid SA is seeking a skilled Systems Analyst Programmer (SharePoint Developer) to provide high-level system analysis, programming, and IT solutions. The successful candidate will develop business intelligence reports, core business applications, and web-based services while integrating different systems and APIs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze and provide IT solutions to support Legal Aid SA’s operations.
    • Develop functional and technical specifications based on user requirements.
    • Test software and maintain a log of test results as per the IS Software Change Management Policy.
    • Ensure seamless integration of systems, APIs, and services.
    • Design and manage databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
    • Monitor project progress and coordinate incident tracking.
    • Maintain existing systems and provide 2nd and 3rd line application support.
    • Stay updated on security and efficiency standards for software development.

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Qualifications: Grade 12 certificate + three-year Computer qualification from a university or technikon.
    • Experience: Minimum of five years in IT development, with expertise in:
      • Microsoft.NET C# (ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, Windows Forms).
      • K2 Workflows, SmartForms, Views, Smart Objects.
      • K2 Migration and Deployment Wizard.
      • SharePoint development (SharePoint 2013 or higher).
      • OneDrive administration.
      • Microsoft SQL 2014 or higher.
      • Power Automate, Azure Automation, Azure Blob Storage & Data Archiving.
    • Soft Skills:
      • Analytical mindset and business acumen.
      • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
      • Strong negotiation and collaboration skills.
      • High level of motivation and reliability.

    Job Overview

    Legal Aid SA is searching for a Manager: Property Strategy and Projects to oversee the organisation’s property portfolio, including leasing, acquisition, refurbishment, and infrastructure projects. This role requires a highly experienced individual with a strong background in property management, asset utilisation, and regulatory compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead research and development of Legal Aid SA’s Property Management strategy, policies, and standard operating procedures.
    • Oversee immovable property management, including tenders for new property acquisitions and office leases.
    • Manage relationships with landlords, service providers, and contractors.
    • Ensure procured office space meets organisational norms and standards.
    • Oversee property-related refurbishments, relocations, and infrastructure upgrades.
    • Handle operations, maintenance, and compliance with building regulations.
    • Ensure property agreements align with government regulations and financial management policies.
    • Implement project management best practices for efficient execution of infrastructure projects.
    • Provide property-related training and workshops for provincial Administration Managers.

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Property Management, Real Estate, Law, Public Administration, or equivalent field.
    • Experience:
      • 10 years in property management (5 years at Management level).
      • 5 years in public sector property acquisition, leasing, and infrastructure project management.
      • 2+ years of staff leadership experience.
      • Experience in managing large property portfolios, lease negotiations, and government asset management.
      • Knowledge of PFMA regulatory framework, National Treasury Regulations, Legal Aid SA Act, and building regulations.
    • Soft Skills:
      • Strategic thinking and ability to align property management with legal and governmental policies.
      • Negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
      • Strong financial and administrative skills.
      • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
