    List of Lephalale TVET College Vacancies

    1. Project Coordinator: Skills Development (SL7)

    • Reference: leptvet 11/2024
    • Centre: Bela-Bela Skills Centre
    • Salary: R422,170 total remunerative package
    • Duration: Three-year fixed-term contract (Council Appointment)

    Requirements:

    • Matric or NCV Level 4 Certificate.
    • A three-year recognized National Diploma/Degree in Public Management/Business Management or related qualification at NQF Level 6/7.
    • Diploma in OD-ETDP is advantageous.
    • 1-2 years of experience in occupational programmes.
    • Experience with SETAs, NAMB, and QCTO.
    • Training in SDF/Assessor/Moderator is beneficial.
    • Knowledge of skills development policies and legislative frameworks.
    • Good communication, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
    • Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate all occupational learning programmes, including skills programmes, learnerships, and apprenticeships.
    • Develop funding proposals for relevant donors.
    • Apply for college accreditation.
    • Advise on project improvements.
    • Provide direction and support to the project team.
    • Identify and secure workplaces for learners.
    • Upload and register students on college and SETA systems.
    • Compile student data and verify submissions.
    • Plan and conduct monitoring and evaluation of training programmes.
    • Manage records effectively and perform related duties as required.

    2. Project Coordinator: National Skills Fund (NSF) (SL7)

    • Reference: leptvet 12/2024
    • Centre: Bela-Bela Skills Centre
    • Salary: R422,170 total remunerative package
    • Duration: Three-year fixed-term contract (Council Appointment)

    Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate or NCV Level 4 Certificate.
    • A three-year recognized National Diploma/Degree in Public Management/Business Management or related qualification at NQF Level 6/7.
    • 1-2 years of experience in occupational programmes.
    • Previous experience with the National Skills Fund is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of skills development policies and legislative frameworks.
    • Good communication, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
    • Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in planning NSF projects from commencement to completion.
    • Interact with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Compile performance and financial reports.
    • Present reports to stakeholders.
    • Participate in NSF verification processes.
    • Track and report on NSF budget spending.
    • Organize NSF project planning sessions.
    • Monitor project progress and adapt as required.
    • Ensure project deadlines are met according to NSF requirements.
    • Maintain good relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate the signing of contracts and relevant documents.
    • Manage records effectively.

    3. Lecturer: Mechanical Engineering (PL1)

    • Reference: leptvet 13/2024
    • Centre: Lephalale Campus
    • Salary: R256,395 – R333,164 per annum plus benefits
    • Type: Permanent (Persal Appointment)

    Requirements:

    • Matric or NCV Level 4 Certificate.
    • A recognized Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Trade Certificate as a Boilermaker.
    • Relevant teaching qualification.
    • Assessor and Moderator certificates are advantageous.
    • Good communication, organizing, and administrative skills.
    • Ability to plan and deliver lessons effectively.
    • Ability to engage students professionally and promote a conducive learning environment.
    • Computer literacy and valid SACE Registration.

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach Boilermaking/Fabrication subjects for NCV Programme Levels 2-4.
    • Prepare lesson plans and comply with the College Annual Academic Plan, Time-Table, and Quality Management System.
    • Assess, mark, and record student attainment.
    • Monitor student performance and provide objective feedback.
    • Create a conducive classroom environment and ensure efficient classroom management and discipline.

    4. Administration Clerk: National Skills Fund (NSF) (SL5)

    • Reference: leptvet 14/2024
    • Centre: Bela-Bela Skills Centre
    • Salary: R296,491 total remunerative package
    • Duration: Three-year fixed-term contract (Council Appointment)

    Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate or NCV Level 4 Certificate.
    • A three-year recognized National Diploma/Degree in Public Management/Business Management or related qualification at NQF Level 6/7.
    • Previous experience in NSF learning projects is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of public sector policies, PFMA, and treasury regulations.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles.
    • Good communication, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
    • Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure portfolio of evidence for learners is up-to-date.
    • Process and safely store assessment reports.
    • Consolidate monthly or scheduled reports.
    • Administer project meetings and procure project requirements.
    • Initiate and finalize claims, report on project finances.
    • Assist in uploading learner results on SETA/QCTO database.
    • Handle learner certification with ETQA.
    • Arrange stakeholder meetings and manage NSF documents in line with Records Management System.

    Application Process

    Interested candidates must submit their applications to The Principal, Lephalale TVET College, at Private Bag X210, Lephalale, 0555, or hand-deliver them to Lephalale TVET College (Central Office), Corner Nelson Mandela and Ngoako Ramatlhodi Drives, Onverwacht, Lephalale, 0557. Applications should include:

    • A completed and signed new Z83 Form (Download Z83 Application Form)
    • A comprehensive CV: Free CV Templates that Pass the Applicant Tracking System)
    • Copies of qualifications, including matriculation and academic records.
    • Identity Document.
    • Driver’s License, where applicable.

    It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). The college aims to promote representativity (race, gender, and disability) through these appointments. If you do not receive a response within three months after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful. Suitable candidates will undergo personnel suitability checks, including criminal record check, citizenship verification, qualification verification, and previous employment verification.
