    Vacancy 1: Principal Clerk (Supply Chain Management – SCM)

    • Position: Principal Clerk – SCM
    • Location: Endumeni Municipality

    Job Description

    The Principal Clerk (SCM) will play a vital role in managing and processing supply chain-related tasks for the municipality. Responsibilities include handling procurement requests, maintaining supplier databases, assisting with bid documents, and ensuring compliance with SCM policies.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Processing procurement requisitions and ensuring timely delivery.
    • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of bid documents.
    • Maintaining records of supplier performance and contract compliance.
    • Supporting the SCM team with administrative tasks.
    • Managing a database of approved vendors and contractors.
    Qualifications and Experience
    • A minimum qualification of Grade 12.
    • Relevant experience in supply chain management or a related field.
    • Knowledge of SCM policies and procedures within the public sector.
    • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.

    Job Description

    The Principal Clerk (PMU) will support the Project Management Unit, focusing on municipal projects’ administrative and clerical tasks. This role involves tracking project progress, coordinating with project teams, and maintaining project records.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assisting with project documentation and reporting.
    • Coordinating schedules and tracking project timelines.
    • Communicating with various departments to ensure project goals are met.
    • Preparing and updating project records and files.
    • Supporting the PMU team with clerical and administrative tasks.
    Qualifications and Experience
    • A minimum qualification of Grade 12.
    • Experience in project management or administrative support.
