Psychometrist Job Description
The role primarily focuses on coordinating psychometric assessment administration, assisting with office bearer recruitment, and supporting other HR functions to enhance the university’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Psychometric Assessments
- Administer and coordinate psychometric tests for selected members.
- Schedule and communicate assessment venues and times for individuals and groups.
- Manage the psychometric database, assessment materials, and testing instruments.
- Provide feedback to interview panels, line managers, and candidates.
- Validate invoices and maintain records securely.
- Recruitment & Selection
- Support the recruitment of office bearers by scheduling meetings, inviting candidates, and drafting advertisements.
- Assist with headhunting for all levels, including scarce and critical skill positions.
- Reporting
- Assist in compiling senate reports and updating senior appointment reports.
- Ad-hoc Tasks
- Provide assistance with Employee Wellness and various organizational development projects.
Minimum Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology.
- Honours degree (NQF Level 8) in related fields.
Experience
- At least three years in psychometric assessment administration and coordination.
- Minimum of three years in recruitment and selection processes.
Added Advantages
- Registration with the HPCSA as an Independent Psychometrist or Psychologist.
Required Skills
Technical Competencies
- Familiarity with HR policies, templates, and management systems.
- Knowledge of legislation such as BCEA, LRA, and EE.
Behavioral Traits
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
