    Primary Responsibilities

    The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Student Tracking System at TUT, focusing on data analytics and system optimization. Key responsibilities include:

    Minimum Requirements

    To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    Education

    • NQF Level 6: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematical Statistics.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in:
      • Data analytics in higher education or similar environments.
      • Data reporting and system support services.
      • Utilizing AI and machine learning tools.
      • Collaborative work within multi-team contexts.

    Knowledge Areas

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (specifically Advanced MS Excel).
    • Competency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS, SQL).
    • Expertise in AI, machine learning, and data visualization.
    • Understanding of record-keeping, database systems, and database management.

    Skills

    • Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities.
    • Proficiency in handling data and various database systems.
    • Strong independent and collaborative working capabilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Problem-solving and report-writing expertise.
