Garden Route District: Electrical Apprenticeship
The Western Cape Government is inviting qualified applicants from the Garden Route District to apply for the funded Electrical apprenticeship. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Aged between 18 and 30 years,
- South African citizens,
- Unemployed and residing in the Garden Route District,
- Possess an Occupational Certificate in Electrical (NQF L1), TVET equivalent, with a pass in Pure Mathematics and Science.
Applicants will also be expected to have good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape.
Stipend: R5,500 per month.
Overberg District: Bricklaying Apprenticeship
The Overberg District is offering apprenticeship opportunities in Bricklaying. Those interested should meet the following criteria:
- Aged between 18 and 30 years,
- South African citizens,
- Unemployed and residing in the Overberg District,
- Possess an Occupational Certificate in Bricklaying (NQF L3), TVET equivalent, with a pass in Mathematical Literacy.
As with the electrical apprenticeship, successful candidates must be prepared to work on construction sites, apply health and safety regulations, and undertake various site-related tasks.
Stipend: R5,500 per month.
Central Karoo District: Electrical Apprenticeship
The Central Karoo District also has opportunities for those looking to pursue a career in electrical work. To qualify, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Aged between 18 and 30 years,
- South African citizens,
- Unemployed and residing in the Central Karoo District,
- Possess an Occupational Certificate in Electrical (NQF L1), TVET equivalent, with a pass in Pure Mathematics and Science.
Like their counterparts in the Garden Route District, successful applicants in the Central Karoo District will receive a stipend of R5,500 per month and will be required to work on construction sites across the Western Cape.
