- Experience in working at high sites and knowledge of TETRA technology and analogue repeater equipment is advantageous.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to carry heavy equipment and willing to work on standby.
- Height Work: Required to work at heights.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license code B is mandatory.
Responsibilities
As a Technician in the Telecommunications Network Services, your responsibilities will include:
- Radio Repairs and Maintenance: Undertaking analogue and digital (TETRA) radio repairs, maintenance, and installation of related equipment.
- Equipment Testing and Troubleshooting: Performing radio equipment testing, troubleshooting, and software programming.
- Software Development: Creating software templates and configuration scripts for radio programming.
- Client Support: Liaising with clients and attending to customer queries to provide technical solutions.
- Training: Providing product training to end-users.
- Project Management: Managing small to medium projects related to public safety systems, such as radio installations.
- Asset Management: Implementing controls for the movement and transfer of assets.
