    • Division: Skills Planning and Research

    About AgriSETA

    AgriSETA is a pivotal organization dedicated to the advancement and enhancement of skills in the agricultural sector of South Africa. They play a crucial role in providing training and development programs to ensure a skilled workforce in the industry. Their initiatives aim to improve agricultural productivity and contribute to the country’s economic growth.

    AgriSETA Internships Purpose

    The primary goal of these AgriSETA Internships is to support the Skills Planning and Research Division in monitoring and evaluating the performance of the company’s organizational initiatives. As an intern, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of various projects by collecting and analyzing data, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and providing administrative support.

    Key Responsibilities

    Monitoring and Evaluation

    • Monitor projects: Ensure that all projects are progressing as planned and meeting their objectives.
    • Evaluate performance information: Analyze data and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of projects.
    • Collect data: Gather relevant information through various methods, including administering questionnaires.

    Management of Data

    • Collate, capture, and store data: Organize and maintain all research tools and data collected.
    • Compile research-related data: Prepare data sets and reports as requested.
    • Basic data analysis: Perform initial analysis of collected data to identify trends and insights.

    Stakeholder Liaison

    • Maintain stakeholder relations: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

    Administration

    • Organize project site visits: Coordinate visits for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
    • Assist with administrative tasks: Support the division with various administrative duties.
    • Manage records and tracking: Keep track of all research-related activities and generate regular reports.

    Internal and External Contacts

    • Internal divisions: Collaborate with all divisions within AgriSETA.
    • External partners and stakeholders: Engage with external stakeholders and partners to facilitate project success.

    Requirements

    • Educational Qualification: NQF Level 6 / Diploma / Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation or an equivalent qualification.
    • Knowledge: Understanding of the audit environment and basic statistics.
    • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
    • Willingness to Travel: Be prepared to travel as required by the job.

    Competencies

    • Project management skills: Ability to manage and oversee various projects effectively.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Communication skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
    • Administrative skills: Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
    • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work well within a team.
