Seize the opportunity to join Untunjambili Hospital as an Operational Manager in the General-Stream (Night-Duty). This role offers a salary range of R497 193 – R536 220 per annum, along with a 13th cheque, optional medical aid, 8% rural allowance, and housing allowance (employee must meet prescribed requirements).
Requirements:
- Senior Certificate/Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery
- Current registration with SANC
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Professional Nurse after registration
Skills and Abilities:
- Leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of health care service delivery, especially in the forensic unit
- Understanding of code of conduct, Labour Relations, and related policies
- Familiarity with nursing care processes, nursing statutes, and legal frameworks
- Competence in operational management, coordination, networking, and liaison
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict management skills
Duties:
- Ensure adequate coverage and supervision of staff for efficient patient care
- Facilitate implementation of health service delivery policies and guidelines
- Promote Batho Pele principles, patient rights, and ethical standards
- Participate in the implementation of national health priorities and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff during night shifts
- Identify staff training needs and monitor performance development
- Demonstrate effective communication with various stakeholders
- Efficient management and utilization of resources
- Exercise control of discipline, grievance, and labour relations
- Coordinate all night services effectively
