    Kimberley Girls’ High School, a leading educational institution in the region, is inviting applications for two critical positions on its School Governing Body. The school seeks passionate and motivated individuals with relevant experience to fill the following roles:


    1. IT Support Technician

    The Kimberley Girls’ High School is looking for an experienced IT professional to join its team as an IT Support Technician, providing essential technical expertise to staff, learners, and the broader school community.

    Position Requirements:

    • A recognized qualification in the IT field.
    • A minimum of three years’ experience in IT support.
    • Strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and networks.
    • Familiarity with educational software and management systems.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Patience and skill in explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide first-line technical support to staff and learners.
    • Troubleshoot and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
    • Liaise with contractors and vendors for various services.
    • Assist with the implementation of new technologies and systems.
    • Ensure the security and integrity of the school’s IT infrastructure.
    • Conduct regular maintenance and updates on all IT equipment.
    • Train staff and learners on IT systems.
    • Offer technical advice and recommendations to staff and learners.
    • Verify services rendered by external ICT providers.
    • Update the school’s website and social media pages as required.

    Behavioral Attributes and Skills:

    • Strong reporting, organizational, and time management skills.
    • A target-driven approach with attention to detail.
    • Experience in an educational environment is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 for Education.
    • A basic understanding of cybersecurity practices.

    Salary and Benefits:

    • A salary of R12,000.00.

    2. Receptionist

    Kimberley Girls’ High School is also seeking a Receptionist. This individual will serve as the face of the school and the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and learners. The position demands excellent administrative skills and a welcoming demeanor.

    Position Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate with relevant administrative qualifications.
    • At least three years’ experience in an administrative or receptionist role.
    • Strong knowledge of school environments and operations.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Proficiency in computer literacy, especially in MS Excel and MS Word.
    • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
    • General secretarial skills, including managing files and coordinating meetings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide support and information to staff, learners, and the school community.
    • Welcome and guide visitors to appropriate personnel or departments.
    • Answer and transfer calls efficiently and forward emails as needed.
    • Manage visitor inquiries and complaints.
    • Organize and manage meeting agendas, appointments, and reservations.
    • Maintain and control reception supplies.
    • Assist with internal and external event coordination.
    • Capture learner attendance and manage inquiries.
    • Archive documents and maintain an organized filing system.
    • Receive and distribute correspondence.
    • Assist with managing social media presence and updating school announcements.

    Behavioral Attributes and Skills:

    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
    • Experience in a school environment is advantageous.
    • Strong communication skills, capable of handling inquiries with tact and professionalism.

    Salary and Benefits:

    • A salary of R6,500.00.
