    The Government Printing Works Graduate Programme offers a transformative opportunity for unemployed graduates in South Africa to kickstart their careers. Aimed at young South Africans aged 18-35, the internship is part of the country’s commitment to affirmative action and equal opportunities, helping to equip graduates with essential work experience.


    Key Features of the Programme:

    • Duration: 24 months.
    • Stipend: R7,450.75 per month.
    • Work Experience: Interns will gain exposure to various departments and professional environments.
    • Skill Development: Graduates will develop skills relevant to their qualifications and fields of interest.

    Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

    The Government Printing Works Graduate Programme targets unemployed South African citizens who meet the following criteria:

    • Age Requirement: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
    • Unemployed Graduates: Candidates must be unemployed at the time of applying.
    • No Prior Internship in Government Institutions: If you have previously participated in an internship at any government or state institution, you will not be eligible for this programme.

    Available Internship Positions

    The GPW offers a variety of internship positions across its departments, providing opportunities for graduates with different academic backgrounds. Below are some of the departments currently offering positions:

    1. Office of the General Manager: Operations Management

    • Location: Pretoria
    • Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Business, Office Administration, or Public Administration.
    • Stipend: R7,450.75 per month.

    2. Regional Operations: Zandfontein, Limpopo, North West, East London

    • Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport, or Economics.
    • Stipend: R7,450.75 per month.

    3. E-Gazette Contact Centre: Operations Management

    • Location: Pretoria
    • Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Contact Centre Management or Business Administration.
    • Stipend: R7,450.75 per month.

    4. Financial Services: General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Debtors Management

    • Location: Pretoria
    • Requirements: Diploma/Degree/BCom in Financial Accounting.
    • Stipend: R7,450.75 per month.

    5. ICT: Applications and Infrastructure Management

    • Location: Pretoria
    • Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
    • Stipend: R7,450.75 per month.

    6. Human Resources: Talent Management, Leave Administration

    • Location: Pretoria
    • Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management or Development.
    • Stipend: R7,450.75 per month.

    7. Legal Services: Contracts and Litigation

    • Location: Pretoria
    • Requirements: Bachelor of Law (LLB) or Paralegal Qualification.
    • Stipend: R7,450.75 per month.

    How to Apply for the GPW Graduate Programme

    Application Process

    To apply for the Government Printing Works Graduate Programme, follow these steps:

    1. Download the Z83 Form: The form is available on the Department of Public Service and Administration’s website. Be sure to use the updated version of the form.
    2. Complete and Sign the Z83 Form: Ensure that all sections are completed. Incorrect or incomplete forms may result in disqualification.
    3. Prepare Your Documents: Along with the Z83 form, you’ll need to submit a detailed CV and certified copies of your Identity Document (ID), Senior Certificate, and highest qualifications. Shortlisted candidates will be required to present these documents during the interview stage.
    4. Submission Methods:
      • By Post: Send your application to Private Bag X85, Pretoria, 0001.
      • Hand Delivery: You can submit your application in person at 149 Bosman Street, Pretoria.
      • Via Email: Applications can also be emailed to Team.recruiters@gpw.gov.za.
