Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker at Nahoon WTW, you will play a vital role in maintaining water treatment plants and surrounding facilities. Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities:
Facility and Equipment Maintenance
- Perform general tasks such as sweeping floors, cleaning windows, and maintaining machinery at water treatment works and pump stations.
- Transport chemicals from the storage area to the dosing point, ensuring proper handling and cleanliness.
Grounds and Environmental Upkeep
- Maintain the surrounding areas by cutting grass, cleaning flowerbeds, and keeping the property neat.
- Remove algal build-up on water flow channels to ensure uninterrupted water processing.
Reservoir and Tank Maintenance
- Assist with the maintenance of reservoirs, including cleaning sedimentation tanks, sterilizing filters, and desludging operations.
- Clean galleries, sumps, reservoirs, and overflow weirs to ensure optimal performance.
Pipeline Repairs and Digging Trenches
- Dig trenches and assist with pipeline repairs when necessary, ensuring the infrastructure remains operational.
Additional Duties
- Wash and maintain vehicles, including changing damaged tires.
- Perform painting, scrubbing, and other tasks as required.
Special Requirements
- Willingness to perform standby duties when required.
