Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Painting.
- Experience: Grade A: No experience required.
- Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate.
- Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate.
- Inherent requirement of the job: A valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB, manual) and willing to travel throughout the Western Cape.
- Perform standby duties.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Be conversant with the requirements of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Sound knowledge of the SANS 10400 Building Regulation.
Duties
- Perform necessary administrative functions, train and supervision of subordinates.
- Control over tools and materials.
- Maintenance and repairs by painting, glazing, and spray- painting of hospital buildings.
- Emergency breakdowns (including afterhours repairs).
- Planning and décor of new installations and alterations.
