Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: An appropriate three-year Diploma/Degree.
- Experience: Appropriate experience in Supervision or Management of a laundry line.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts, extended hours, or overtime when required.
- Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads/equipment.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer Literacy particularly in Word and Excel.
- High level of excellence in accurate data capturing and recording.
- Excellent human relations abilities and telephone skills.
- Thorough knowledge of SANS 10146, SANS 1044, OHSA, PFMA, and Public Service Regulations.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and people management skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, strategic planning, and organizational capabilities.
- Financial, Supply Chain, and HR Management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure independently and lead a team safely.
Duties
- Implementation and control of the strategic management of the Laundry.
- Implementation & control of the operational laundry services.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production, stock levels, storage, and distribution in line with SANS 10146 and SANS 1044.
- Implement and control of quality and risk.
- Assist in managing the operational expenditure and administrative prescripts of the Laundry.
- Implement the principles of Human Resources.
- Effective leadership and people management.
- Conduct stocktaking, manage requisitions for equipment/repairs, write off unserviceable stock, and manage GG vehicle usage.
- Oversee health and safety inspections, pest control registers, emergency evacuations, key control, and physical security measures in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA 85 of 1993).
