Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate 3-year National diploma or degree.
- Experience: Appropriate experience in public health.
- Appropriate experience in project management.
- Appropriate experience in stakeholder engagement and partnerships.
- Appropriate experience in strategic support.
- Appropriate experience in health promotion.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Valid driver’s licence and ability to drive.
- Willingness to travel within South Africa.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Project Management skills.
- Knowledge and application of regulations, policies, procedures and indicators relevant to Wellness and integrated Health promotion programmes.
- Understanding of the District Health system.
- Facilitation, writing, research, conceptualisation, statistical analysis and strategic support.
- Monitoring, evaluation, research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite and digital platforms.
- Sound interpersonal, networking and negotiating skills.
- Creativity, self-motivation, assertiveness and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to prioritise and organise work, exercise self-discipline and function under pressure, work without supervision and handle a high work volume.
Duties
- Provide operational and strategic support for policy translation and enablement for Health and Wellness.
- Promotion integration across the life course and framework for action strategic actions.
- Operationalize processes for effective implementation enablement, guidance and support for Health and Wellness Promotion across the life course and framework for action strategic actions.
- Administer Monitoring, evaluation and Reporting.
- Facilitate Intersectoral collaboration, stakeholder engagement and management.
- Provide logistical and administrative support to the component and programmatic areas.
