Requirements

  • Minimum educational qualification: Senior certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with appropriate experience /competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post.
  • Experience: Appropriate experience in Financial Management and Supply Chain Management.
  • Appropriate Experience in Logis and BAS.
  • Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of In- Year monitoring and reporting, AFS reporting, BAS, and LOGIS, National and Provincial Treasury Regulations as well as the Accounting Officers System of the Department and PFMA.
  • Good communication skills Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Good communication skills.

Duties

  • Responsible for the effective and efficient functioning and co-ordination of the Finance, Supply Chain Department division and Transport.
  • Responsible for control of expenditure and allocated budget.
  • Draw all financial reports: expenses per month and expenditure commitments etc.
  • Monthly Compilation of supply chain and Finance reports (IYM).
  • Compilation of inputs into Financial Statements (IFS and AFS).
  • Management of Stores.
  • Ensure clearing of Assets and Liability Accounts.
  • Authorizing of Journals and payments, Logis functions, EPS transactions and all Audit queries.
  • Training of subordinates and new appointees.
