Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.
- Registration with a professional council: Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.
- Experience: Grade 1: None.
- Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC.
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC.
- Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, night duty and overtime when necessary.
- Willingness to rotate between wards within hospital.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Basic communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to function as part of a team.
- Enhance patient care through the implementation of SOP’s, policies, and guidelines.
Duties
- Development and implementation of basic patient care.
- Provide basic clinical nursing care.
- Effective utilization of physical and financial resources.
- Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
