Administrator Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing student governance structures, and facilitating leadership development programs.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Office Administration & Support: Assisting the Student Development Practitioner with administrative tasks.
  • Event Management: Organizing events related to student governance and leadership.
  • Leadership Programmes: Facilitating Top Leadership Programmes to empower student leaders.
  • Training & Facilitation: Presenting Leadership Modules to students and helping them develop leadership skills.
  • Supporting Student Structures: Providing guidance and assistance to recognized student structures.
  • SRC Support: Assisting the local Student Representative Council (SRC) with their administration and governance responsibilities.
  • Information Management: Ensuring that official information is available for the Central Student Representative Council (CSRC).
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Performing additional administrative and accounting tasks when required.

Minimum Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • National Senior Certificate (NSC) – NQF Level 4

Work Experience

A minimum of three years of experience in:

  • Student affairs (either as an employee or volunteer)
  • Administration and support for a Student Representative Council
  • Training and facilitation of leadership programs
  • Events management
  • Project management
  • Community engagement

Added Advantage:

  • Prior experience in a university student affairs environment
  • Ability to facilitate Top Leadership Programmes
