    • Position: Assistant Director: System Developer

    • Salary: R424,104 per annum (Level 09), with annual progression up to R496,467, subject to satisfactory performance.

    Requirements for the Position

    • A recognized 3-4-year National Diploma or B-Degree in Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field equivalent to NQF level 6.
    • At least three years of relevant experience in system development.
    • Proficient in SQL, HTML, PHP, VB, C#, and .Net.
    • Strong understanding of system development and programming.
    • Familiarity with Public Service Policy and Regulatory Framework and other relevant IT regulations.

    • Demonstrated ability to set and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
    • High ethical standards and professionalism with a client-oriented and customer-focused attitude.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop desktop and web-based systems tailored to enhance public service operations.
    • Oversee all system acquisitions, including in-house and outsourced systems.
    • Perform system administration functions, ensuring updates and security are maintained.
    • Conduct user training and create comprehensive system documentation to support end-users.
    • Analyze and model process and data requirements for developing user specifications and functional system designs.
    • Develop process diagrams and flowcharts for new systems.
    • Coordinate user acceptance and functional system testing with main users and business owners.
