- Undergraduate Degree (NQF 7): Must possess a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields as recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA):

- Relevant Experience: At least 1-2 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages, demonstrating strong capabilities in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Duties for the Officer: Funding Support Position
As an Officer: Funding Support at the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD), the selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of critical functions aimed at enhancing support mechanisms for small businesses and cooperatives. The primary duties include:
- Logistical and Secretariat Support:
- Coordinate with mandate owners such as Agencies, National Departments, and the Private Sector to facilitate access to funding opportunities. This involves organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and ensuring efficient communication between all parties.
- Program Design and Development:
- Actively participate in the creation and refinement of programs and systems designed to aid Small, Medium, and Micro-sized Enterprises (SMMEs) and Cooperatives. Tasks include:
- Conducting data collection initiatives and climate surveys to assess needs and impacts.
- Collaborating on the development of strategic frameworks that support business growth and sustainability.
- Actively participate in the creation and refinement of programs and systems designed to aid Small, Medium, and Micro-sized Enterprises (SMMEs) and Cooperatives. Tasks include:
- Implementation of Priority Programs:
- Support the roll-out of key programs, such as the Township and Rural Entrepreneurship Programme (TREP) and various internal DSBD initiatives, by:
- Gathering and analyzing performance data from partner entities.
- Drafting and presenting quarterly performance reports to provide insights and drive decision-making processes.
- Conducting ad-hoc site visits post-funding disbursement to evaluate the utilization of resources and overall program effectiveness.
- Support the roll-out of key programs, such as the Township and Rural Entrepreneurship Programme (TREP) and various internal DSBD initiatives, by:
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain robust communication channels with all relevant stakeholders, including clients, management teams, and colleagues. Responsibilities encompass:
- Delivering written communications such as emails and formal reports.
- Engaging in verbal communications during meetings and direct interactions.
- Creating and conducting presentations, workshops, and informational sessions to share insights, updates, and strategic directions.
- Maintain robust communication channels with all relevant stakeholders, including clients, management teams, and colleagues. Responsibilities encompass:
