    The Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) is offering exciting career Job Opportunities for individuals who want to contribute to the growth and sustainability of small businesses in South Africa.     1. Officer: SMME Policy and Oversight (Ref No: OSP&O)

    Salary: R376 413 per annum
    Location: Pretoria

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Public Administration, Business Management, Development Studies, Economics, or an equivalent qualification as recognized by SAQA.
    • Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in:
      • Managing meeting arrangements
      • Taking minutes
      • Making travel arrangements
      • Managing claims
    • Training in MS Office Packages, Project Management, or Office Administration.
    • A valid driver’s license and security clearance will be an advantage.
    • Competencies:
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Standard project management skills.
      • Client orientation and customer focus.
      • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
      • Attention to detail.

    Duties

    • Conduct research on factors impacting the growth and sustainability of small businesses.
    • Assist in the development of policies, strategies, and frameworks supporting SMMEs, Cooperatives, and the informal sector.
    • Perform performance monitoring inspections to check policy and strategy compliance.
    • Provide general administrative support, including minute-taking, report writing, and database management.
    • Communicate with stakeholders through written, verbal, and formal presentations.
