    The Department of Social Development, North West Provincial Government, is currently inviting applications for various assistant director and personnel positions in its provincial office. These opportunities provide candidates with a chance to contribute to the enhancement of social services within the province and make a meaningful impact on communities. Below are the details of each position, including key requirements and responsibilities.


    North West Department of Social Development Available Positions

    1. Assistant Director: Organisational Development

    • Reference Number: SD/1/2/24/I
    • Directorate: Human Capital Management
    • Salary: R444,036.00 per annum (Level 09)
    • Centre: Provincial Office
    • Requirements:
      • Grade 12 with a Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Management Services, Operations Management, Production Management, Industrial Psychology, or Human Resource Management.
      • Certificate in Job Evaluation.
      • 3-5 years of experience in Organisational Development and Job Evaluation, with at least 2 years at a supervisory level.
      • A valid driver’s license.
    • Key Duties:
      • Facilitate organisational structure development and implementation.
      • Manage job evaluation services and job grading.
      • Develop job descriptions and business processes.
      • Conduct complex work study investigations and make recommendations to improve service delivery.

    2. Assistant Director: Conditions of Services

    • Reference Number: SD/1/3/24/I
    • Directorate: Human Capital Management
    • Salary: R444,036.00 per annum (Level 09)
    • Centre: Provincial Office
    • Requirements:
      • Grade 12 with a Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Human Resource Management.
      • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field, with 2 years at a supervisory level.
      • Knowledge of the PERSAL system.
      • A valid driver’s license.
    • Key Duties:
      • Develop internal controls and policies on service conditions and benefits.
      • Support service benefits and provide training on policy developments.
      • Manage leave of absence, overtime, and pension administration.

    3. Assistant Director: Acquisition Management

    • Reference Number: SD/1/4/24/I
    • Directorate: Supply Chain Management
    • Salary: R444,036.00 per annum (Level 09)
    • Centre: Provincial Office
    • Requirements:
      • Grade 12 with a National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Purchasing.
      • 5 years of experience in Acquisition Management, with at least 3 years at a supervisory level.
      • Valid driver’s license.
      • Knowledge of BAS and WALKER systems.
    • Key Duties:
      • Ensure compliance with PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
      • Manage acquisition policies, supplier performance, and contracts.

    4. Assistant Director: Logistics Management

    • Reference Number: SD/1/5/24/I
    • Directorate: Supply Chain Management
    • Salary: R444,036.00 per annum (Level 09)
    • Centre: Provincial Office
    • Requirements:
      • Grade 12 with a National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Purchasing.
      • 5 years of experience in Logistics Management, with at least 3 years at a supervisory level.
      • Valid driver’s license.
      • Knowledge of BAS and WALKER systems.
    • Key Duties:
      • Implement logistics management policies and procedures.
      • Coordinate safekeeping, distribution of goods, and stock control.

    5. Assistant Director: Risk Management

    • Reference Number: SD/1/7/24/I
    • Directorate: Risk Management
    • Salary: R444,036.00 per annum (Level 09)
    • Centre: Provincial Office
    • Requirements:
      • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Risk Management, or Auditing.
      • 3-5 years of experience in Risk Management or Auditing.
      • Valid driver’s license.
    • Key Duties:
      • Assist in implementing and maintaining the Risk Management Strategy.
      • Coordinate risk management workshops and committee activities.

    6. Assistant Director: Records Management

    • Reference Number: SD/9/24/I
    • Directorate: Records and Information Management
    • Salary: R444,036.00 per annum (Level 09)
    • Centre: Provincial Office
    • Requirements:
      • Grade 12 with a Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Management Services, Operations Management, Production Management, Industrial Psychology, or Human Resource Management.
      • Certificate in Job Evaluation.
      • 3-5 years of experience in Organisational Development and Job Evaluation, with 2 years at a supervisory level.
      • A valid driver’s license.
    • Key Duties:
      • Develop and implement organisational structures.
      • Coordinate job evaluation services and develop business processes.

    7. Assistant Director: Finance

    • Reference Number: SD/1/20/24/I
    • Directorate: Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Office
    • Salary: R444,036.00 per annum (Level 09)
    • Centre: District Office
    • Requirements:
      • Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Commerce, Accounting, or Auditing.
      • At least 2 years of experience in Accounting or Auditing.
      • Knowledge of PERSAL system and PFMA.
    • Key Duties:
      • Manage financial management systems and ensure compliance with relevant financial prescripts.

Only the Z83 form and a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) are required during the application. Applicants do not need to submit copies of qualifications or other documents.
