    Overview of Ngqushwa Municipality Vacancies

    Ngqushwa Municipality is known for its commitment to social development and providing essential services to its community. The municipality is looking to fill several key positions across various departments, including Community Services, the Office of the Municipal Manager, and Corporate Services.

    List of Ngqushwa Municipality Vacancies

    1. Manager: Spatial Planning and Land Use Management (Community Services)

    • Salary: R592,508.00 – R769,075.00 per annum (Task Grade 16)
    • Requirements:
      • A recognized National Diploma or higher qualification in Town and Regional Planning or an equivalent qualification.
      • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
      • Registration as a Professional Planner or in the process of obtaining such registration.
      • Ability to work under extreme pressure and manage stressful situations.
      • Valid driving license.
    • Duties:
      • Develop project briefs and final Spatial Development Frameworks.
      • Monitor the implementation of spatial strategies.
      • Advise on building plan applications.
      • Plan for future settlements and reception areas.

    2. Researcher: Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) – Office of the Municipal Manager

    • Duration: Five-Year Fixed Term Contract
    • Salary: R567,590.35 – R736,751.46 per annum (CTC) (Task Grade 13)
    • Requirements:
      • A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Internal Auditing, Commerce, or an equivalent field.
      • 4-5 years of experience in the Local Government Sphere, including 3 years in SCM Unit experience and 2 years in MPAC Unit.
      • Certificate in Municipal Finance Management (CPMD).
      • Valid driver’s license and strong report writing skills.
    • Duties:
      • Provide administrative and technical support to MPAC.
      • Advise on accountability and oversight matters.
      • Analyse financial and performance reports.
      • Assist MPAC in preparing oversight reports and ensuring compliance.

    3. Practitioner: Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) – Community Services

    • Salary: R304,992.00 – R395,894.00 per annum (Task Grade 11)
    • Requirements:
      • A recognized National Diploma in Economics or equivalent.
      • 2-3 years of relevant experience in project implementation and people management.
    • Duties:
      • Provide business start-up advice.
      • Develop and maintain a database of SMMEs and cooperatives.
      • Monitor project milestones and provide regular status reports.

    4. Coordinator: Municipal Public Accounts Committee – Office of the Municipal Manager

    • Salary: R258,334.00 – R335,359.00 per annum (Task Grade 10)
    • Requirements:
      • A recognized National Diploma in Public/Management or equivalent.
      • 2-3 years of experience in the Local Government Sphere.
    • Duties:
      • Conduct research and provide support to MPAC.
      • Advise on compliance and governance matters.
      • Facilitate MPAC committee meetings and activities.

    5. Admin Assistant: Human Resources (Corporate Services)

    • Salary: R181,017.00 – R234,978.00 per annum (Task Grade 7)
    • Requirements:
      • Grade 12 and a Certificate in Human Resources or equivalent.
      • 6-12 months of relevant experience.
    • Duties:
      • Provide secretarial support to interview panels.
      • Process employee leave and absenteeism records.
      • Handle employee benefit queries and submissions.
