Deputy Director Research Centre Management Overview:
- Position: Deputy Director – Research Centre Management
- Salary: R849,702 per annum (Level 11), all-inclusive package as per MMS dispensation.

Requirements:
- Grade 12 plus an appropriate NQF Level 06 qualification in Public Administration, Public Management, Business Management, or Administration, recognized by SAQA.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in junior or middle management (Administration in the agricultural sector will be an advantage).
- Valid driver’s licence (Code B) (except for people with disabilities).
- Extensive knowledge of legislation governing Public Service, Public Finance Management Act, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, and Agricultural Production and Natural Resource Management regulations.
- Knowledge or experience in farming, agricultural and research management, supply chain management processes.
- Experience and/or knowledge in managing agricultural institutions and/or the farming sector.
- Skills in managerial, negotiation, problem-solving, planning & organizing, communication, time management, policy analysis and development, coordination, leadership, people management and empowerment, programme and project management, financial management, and change management.

Duties:
- Develop and implement the business plan of the Research Station aligning with departmental policies and strategic objectives.
- Manage and coordinate farm facilities services provision.
- Ensure effective management of administrative support services including financial administration, human resource administration, transformation services, office support, and auxiliary services.
- Provide management and strategic support for effective research and development activities.
- Build sustainable relationships through liaison and coordination of meetings with stakeholders.
- Manage and allocate resources (financial, human, & physical) in accordance with relevant regulations.
