Social Worker Positions in the Free State Department of Social Development
The Free State Department of Social Development is inviting applications for multiple Social Worker Grade 1 positions located in various districts:
- Mangaung Metro: 43 positions
- Fezile Dabi District: 17 positions
- Thabo Mofutsanyana District: 19 positions
- Lejweleputswa District: 32 positions
- Xhariep District: 10 positions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (NQF 7) or equivalent qualification
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker
- Knowledge of relevant Public Service legislation
- Proficiency in any official language in the Free State Province
- Additional preference given to candidates with:
- Internship/practicum in a Social Development setting
- Valid South African driver’s license
- Computer literacy
Duties
- Render social work services for vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities.
- Address social instability issues.
- Stay updated on social work and social welfare developments, legislation, and policy framework.
- Perform administrative functions required for the job.
