    The Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition (the dtic) is calling on young visionaries like you to join their exciting Internship Programme for the 2024-2026 period. Are you a dynamic, driven graduate looking to dive into the heart of South Africa’s economic development?  This is not just an internship; it’s your gateway to becoming a part of shaping a globally competitive and inclusive South African economy.


    Unveiling the Opportunity

    The dtic is dedicated to nurturing fresh talent, providing a robust platform for graduates to hone their skills, gain invaluable experience, and make significant strides in their professional journey. Positioned at the nexus of trade, industry, and competition, the internship offers a unique chance to be at the forefront of economic transformation and innovation.

    Internship Programme Details:

    • Duration: 24 months (01 July 2024 to 30 June 2026)
    • Stipend: A competitive monthly stipend starting from R7,043.31
    • Location: Pretoria, the heart of South Africa’s administrative sector

    Who Can Apply?

    This call is for unemployed South African graduates aged between 18 and 35 years, holding a tertiary qualification (NQF level 6 and above) in the following fields:

    • Public Management/Administration
    • Business Science/Management/Administration
    • Communication/Public Relations/Marketing
    • Law
    • Data Science/Information Management/Computer Science
    • Economics, Statistics/Econometrics, Agricultural Economics
    • Development Studies
    • Accounting/Financial Management
    • Risk Management, Internal Auditing
    • Natural Science/Engineering disciplines and more
