The Moses Kotane Local Municipality Internships for 2025 are now officially open, offering unemployed graduates the chance to gain professional work experience in a variety of fields.

About the Internship Programme
This is a 12-month internship programme designed to give recent graduates hands-on experience in a real workplace environment. Interns will be placed in different departments within the Moses Kotane Local Municipality, depending on their qualifications. The programme is funded by BANK SETA and implemented by Hamonate Consulting, who will act as the formal employer. Moses Kotane Local Municipality will serve as the host institution.
Each successful intern will sign a contract and receive monthly compensation of R6,000, making this a financially supportive opportunity as well as a career-building one.

Requirements
The internship is targeted specifically at unemployed youth who are:
- South African citizens with a valid and certified ID (not older than 6 months)
- Residents of the Moses Kotane Local Municipality with proof of residence not older than 3 months
- Aged 40 years or younger
- Holders of a Diploma, N6 certificate, or Degree in the listed fields
- Not currently participating in any other internship programme, and must not have benefited from any SETA-funded internship in the last two years
Required Documents

- South African ID (not older than 6 months)
- Diploma, N6 Certificate, or Degree
- Academic transcript or statement of results
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Proof of residence indicating that the applicant is from Moses Kotane Local Municipality (no older than 3 months)
Failure to provide all the required documents will result in disqualification.
Stipend and Benefits
Interns will receive the following benefits:
