Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality Security Officer Position Overview:
- Position: Security Officer
- Salary: R 330,458.76 per annum (excluding benefits) (Car and cellphone allowance applicable)

- Location: Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality, Limpopo Province, South Africa.
- Geographical Position: Positioned southeast of Polokwane.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- National Diploma in Security and Risk Management.
- 2-3 years of experience in Security and Risk Management.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
Security Analysis and Planning:
- Conduct security analysis within the municipality, including for municipal events.
- Plan the provision of security services (physical and information security) in collaboration with risk management.
- Recruit security guards or source security services contractors as needed.
Management and Coordination:
- Manage the service level agreement of security services contractors with Supply Chain Management.
- Develop and ensure implementation of Security Services Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the municipality.
- Supervise and monitor the performance of Security Officers.
Access Control and Risk Management:
- Plan and ensure execution of effective access control measures for all municipal premises.
- Check and investigate security risks and provide VIP protection at municipal gatherings.
Policy Development and Awareness:
- Develop and implement internal security policies.
- Conduct continuous security risk assessments and audits.
- Develop and conduct security awareness programs within the municipality.
Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain professional relationships with SAPS, State Security Agency, and other government security establishments.
