Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std 7).
- Experience: Appropriate experience in maintenance of hospital gardens and grounds.
- Appropriate experience with cleaning of gutters, windows, and related duties.
- Inherent requirement of the job: A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
- Ability to operate and use required tools and equipment skilfully and safely.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labour.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Supervisory and management skills Computer literacy (MS Office &
- MS Excel).
- Sound problem-solving ability Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of gardening practices.
- Basic knowledge of handling garden tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1993 and its relevant regulations.
Duties
- Assist in managing EPWP candidates within designated work areas.
- Supervise subordinate staff and ensure adherence to the code of conduct.
- Control and manage tools, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain hospital gardens and grounds, including cleaning of gutters and windows.
- Execute and monitor maintenance schedules.
- Conduct job assessments and identify material/tool

requirements. Provide feedback to the EPWP Project Manager upon completion of tasks. Ensure work areas are clean after tasks are completed.
Plan and prioritize projects based on urgency. -Ensure availability of required tools and materials before commencing work. Arrange weekly transport for
EPWP candidates and project needs. Optimize use of materials and requisition accordingly. Provide in-house training on gardening equipment and tools. Stay
updated on new techniques and materials.
