Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Staff Nurse.
- Registration with a professional council: Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Staff Nurse.
- Experience: Grade1: None Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years recognisable nursing experience as a Staff nurse after registration with the SANC Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years recognisable experience as an enrolled nurse after registration with the SANC.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts, night duty, weekends and public holidays as well as overtime.
- Ability to lift and turn patients, stand long hours and lift heavy equipment.
- Willingness to rotate between departments.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to interpret basic clinical signs and symptoms.
- Knowledge of Nursing Practices and IPC, control measures and practices.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic Computer Literacy.
- Self-discipline.
Duties
- Development and implementation of basic patient care plans.
- Provide basic clinical nursing care.
- Effective utilisation of resources.
- Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
