    The Kgatelopele Municipality Motor Registration Office is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the position of Motor Registration Officer.     • Annual Remuneration: Based on Task 6 (R158 614)

    Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

    • Education: Grade 12 Certificate (Matric) and E-Natis Certificate
    • Experience: 1-3 years in a similar environment

    Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Competences Required

    • Computer literacy (MS Office Applications)
    • Strong human relations, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
    • Attention to detail in reading and writing
    • High level of responsibility
    • Ability to work under pressure, after normal working hours, during emergencies, and planned overtime

    Key Performance Areas

    The role of a Motor Registration Officer at Kgatelopele Municipality encompasses various critical tasks essential for the smooth operation of vehicle registration services. Each key performance area is designed to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and excellent service delivery to the community.

    • Accurate Data Entry: Ensuring that all vehicle details and owner information are correctly entered into the E-Natis system.
    • Verification: Checking all submitted documents for authenticity and completeness before processing the registration.
    • Compliance: Adhering to all legal and procedural requirements to ensure that the registration process complies with South African traffic laws and regulations.
    • Documentation Management: Maintaining organized records of all transactions and vehicle registrations.
    • Customer Service: Assisting customers with queries, providing forms, and explaining procedures.
    • Financial Transactions: Handling payments for vehicle registrations, renewals, and other related services, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
    • Payment Processing: Receiving payments from customers for various services, including registrations, renewals, and penalties.
    • Issuing Receipts: Providing official receipts for all payments, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
    • Customer Assistance: Helping customers understand the payment process and resolving any payment-related issues promptly.
    • Daily Reconciliation: Balancing daily cash receipts with the recorded transactions to identify and rectify any discrepancies.
    • Bank Deposits: Preparing and making cash deposits to the municipal bank account.
    • Financial Reporting: Preparing financial reports and summaries for review by the finance department.
    • Customer Education: Explaining the vehicle registration and licensing process to customers, ensuring they understand the requirements and procedures.
    • Guidance: Offering guidance on necessary documentation and steps to complete the registration process.
    • Problem Resolution: Addressing any issues or concerns customers may have regarding their vehicle registration and licensing.
    • Administrative Compliance: Ensuring all administrative processes comply with municipal and national regulations.
    • Record Keeping: Keeping accurate records of all transactions, registrations, and customer interactions.
    • Timely Reporting: Meeting all reporting deadlines for financial and administrative reports, ensuring timely submission to relevant departments.
