  • Position: Artisan (Production) – Carpenter
  • Location: Tintswalo Hospital, Ehlanzeni District.
  • Salary Range: R230,898 – R256,263 per annum

Artisan (Production) – Carpenter Role Requirements:

  • Minimum of Grade 10-12 or equivalent qualifications.
  • Completed apprenticeship and trade test certificate in Carpentry.
  • Basic computer knowledge for time entry, preventative maintenance, and work orders.
  • Valid C1 driver’s licence.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and attend to emergencies as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in two of the three official languages of Mpumalanga Province (read & write).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Physical fitness and good health condition.
  • Prepared to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Willingness to perform overtime and standby duties, including weekends and public holidays, as required and over peak periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervisors in planning, designing, and installing structures and layouts.
  • Perform repair work promptly as needed.
  • Install windows, doors, drywall, stairs, cabinets, and various fixtures as required.
  • Assess and ensure the quality of materials and woodwork.
  • Operate a variety of tools, equipment, and machinery effectively.
  • Maintain adherence to safety, health regulations, and local building codes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive interactions with clients.
  • Possess excellent stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, climb, and exert physical effort as necessary.

Mpumalanga Department of Health Application guidelines:
