    Are you a student with a passion for helping others succeed? Tshwane North College (TNC) is looking for 11 Peer Tutors to support students with special needs at Soshanguve South Campus. If you excel academically and are eager to make a difference, this opportunity is for you.


    Peer Tutors Job Overview

    • Job Title: Peer Tutors for Students with Special Needs (11 Posts)
    • Location: Soshanguve South Campus
    • Stipend: R3 000.00 per month
    • Duration: 01 April 2025 – 31 December 2025

    • TNC/SSC/25 – 03/2 (NCV Programmes)
    • TNC/SSC/25 – 03/3 (NATED/REPORT 191 Programmes)

    Requirements

    1. NCV Programmes – 8 Peer Tutor Positions

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Must have obtained at least 70% in the subject they wish to tutor.
    • Must have studied National Certificate (Vocational) in Transport & Logistics and Office Administration.

    Important Notes:

    • No history of misconduct; must exhibit good behavior and leadership skills.
    • Must not have participated in a similar peer tutoring program before.
    • Must be willing to work extra hours and assist students with special needs.

    2. NATED/REPORT 191 Programmes – 3 Peer Tutor Positions

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Must have obtained at least 70% in the subject they wish to tutor.
    • Must have studied the following subjects:
      • Management Assistant/Public Relations: Information Processing N5 & Computer Practice N5.
      • Public Management: Municipal Administration N5.

    Important Notes:

    • No history of misconduct; must exhibit good behavior and leadership skills.
    • Must not have participated in a similar peer tutoring program before.
    • Must be willing to work extra hours and assist students with special needs.

    Roles and Responsibilities of Peer Tutors

    As a peer tutor, you will:

    1. Provide educational support to students and assist in their studies.
    2. Develop learning strategies to help students overcome study challenges.
    3. Organize tutoring schedules and track student progress.
    4. Monitor students’ learning approaches and recommend improvements.
    5. Apply effective study plans to improve student focus and participation.
    6. Conduct tutorials in English to assist students at different levels.
