    Rand Water Learnership Summary

    Rand Water is seeking 15 learners to join the Water and Wastewater Reticulation Learnership Programme: NQF Level 2. This program aims to provide practical and theoretical knowledge to enhance skills and employability in the water and wastewater reticulation sector.


    Requirements:

    Applicants must satisfy the following entry criteria before applying:

    • Applicants must not be employed.
    • Applicants must not be enrolled with any institution for a qualification nor be registered in any Learnership Programme.
    • Applicants must not be in possession of a completed post- matric qualification
    • Applicants must have a Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum of Level 3 in ALL subjects)
    • Applicants must submit / attach SAQA / NLRD verification report.
    • Applicants must be a South African citizen and be in possession of a valid SAID.
    • Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Deadline oriented
    • Assertiveness
    • Logical thinker Ability to work independently and under pressure
    • Ability to pay attention to detail
    • Communication skills 

    Required Documents


    The following documents must accompany your application:

    • Resume
    • Certified copy of ID document.
    • Certified copy of Matric (Grade 12) Certificate.
    • Proof of residence.

    Employment Equity
    Preference will be given to females and people with disabilities to support Rand Water’s Employment Equity Objectives.

    Core Functions

    Learn and apply knowledge related to water and wastewater reticulation.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Learners will be exposed to and trained in water and wastewater treatment processes.
    • Apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.
    • Develop skills in communication, both verbal and written.
    • Enhance problem-solving abilities and work independently under pressure.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Must be unemployed and not enrolled in any other learnership or qualification program.
    • Must have completed Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum Level 3).
    • Applicants must be South African citizens, aged between 18 and 35.
    • Preference is given to females and people with disabilities to support Rand Water’s Employment Equity objectives.
