    The South African Police Service (SAPS) is currently offering several opportunities in different provinces, especially within the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI). Below is a list of the available positions, along with key requirements and core functions for each.     List of SAPS Vacancies

    1. Sub-Section Commander: Priority Crime Management Centre

    Location: Nelspruit, Mpumalanga
    Level of Remuneration: R 548 880 per annum
    Reference Number: DPCI/MP/29/2025

    Key Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • Proficiency in at least two official languages, one of which must be English
    • A three-year Diploma/Degree in Policing, Law, Forensic Investigation, or related fields
    • Minimum of three years’ relevant experience, with at least two years on a supervisory level
    • Valid driver’s license

    Core Functions:

    • Overseeing profiling and link analysis to identify trends and threats
    • Implementing collection and dissemination plans
    • Managing resources effectively in line with SAPS directives
    • Presenting evidence in court regarding national priority crime threats​.

    2. Sub-Section Commander: Forensic Analysis

    Location: Pretoria, Head Office
    Level of Remuneration: R 548 880 per annum
    Reference Number: DPCI/HO/02/2025

    Key Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • A three-year Degree in Internal Auditing, Forensic Accounting, or related field
    • Three years’ relevant experience in forensic investigations, two of which should be on a supervisory level
    • Professional membership of ACFE or ICFP is advantageous

    Core Functions:

    • Supervising forensic accounting investigations
    • Conducting data mining and analysis for complex financial crimes
    • Providing expert evidence in court
    • Coordinating forensic projects and asset forfeiture investigations​.

    3. Sub-Section Commander: Enterprise Risk Supervisor

    Location: Pretoria, Head Office
    Level of Remuneration: R 548 880 per annum
    Reference Number: DPCI/HO/04/2025

    Key Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • A three-year Degree in Risk Management, Internal Auditing, Accounting, or related fields
    • At least three years of relevant experience, with two years in a supervisory capacity

    Core Functions:

    • Coordinating risk assessments at the national and provincial levels
    • Developing and monitoring risk response plans
    • Ensuring compliance with information security standards
    • Managing human, physical, and financial resources allocated to the post​.

    4. Sub-Section Commander: Cyber Crime Investigation

    Location: East London, Eastern Cape
    Level of Remuneration: R 548 880 per annum
    Reference Number: DPCI/EC/26/2025

    Key Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • A three-year Degree/Diploma in Cybersecurity, Criminology, or related fields
    • Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in cybercrime investigations, with two years at a supervisory level

    Core Functions:

    • Developing cybercrime investigation methodologies
    • Coordinating priority cybercrime investigations and national projects
    • Monitoring unauthorized access and social media investigations
    • Ensuring compliance with security standards and data protection laws​.

    5. Sub-Section Commander: Asset Forfeiture Investigation

    Location: Germiston, Gauteng
    Level of Remuneration: R 548 880 per annum
    Reference Number: DPCI/GP/25/2025

    Key Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • A Degree/Diploma in Policing, Law, Forensic Investigation, or related fields
    • Three years of relevant experience in asset forfeiture investigations, two years in a supervisory role

    Core Functions:

    • Conducting asset forfeiture investigations
    • Profiling suspects and gathering information
    • Liaising with stakeholders regarding asset forfeiture procedures
    • Preparing and submitting court-ready evidence​.

    6. Sub-Section Commander: Cyber Crime Investigation

    Location: Germiston, Gauteng
    Level of Remuneration: R 548 880 per annum
    Reference Number: DPCI/GP/27/2025

    Key Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • A Degree/Diploma in Cybersecurity, Criminology, or related field
    • Three years of relevant experience with two years at the supervisory level

    Core Functions:

    • Monitoring and overseeing cybercrime investigations
    • Developing and implementing investigation methodologies
    • Ensuring compliance with information security standards
    • Coordinating cybercrime investigations at the national and internal levels​.

    7. Sub-Section Commander: Asset Forfeiture Investigation

    Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
    Level of Remuneration: R 548 880 per annum
    Reference Number: DPCI/KZN/24/2025

    Key Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • A Degree/Diploma in Forensic Investigation, Law, or related fields
    • Three years of experience in asset forfeiture, with two years in a supervisory role

    Core Functions:

    • Conducting asset forfeiture investigations
    • Liaising with relevant stakeholders to gather evidence
    • Managing resource allocation and compliance with security standards​.

    8. Serious Organised Crime Investigator

    Location: Thohoyandou, Limpopo
    Level of Remuneration: R 437 607 per annum
    Reference Number: DPCI/LIM/31/2025

    Key Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • A Degree/Diploma in Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Criminology, or related field
    • Two years’ relevant experience with one year in a supervisory role

    Core Functions:

    • Investigating organised crime threats and violent crimes
    • Managing firearm and explosive investigations
    • Coordinating vehicle-related investigations
    • Ensuring adherence to policy standards and procedures​.
