    SASSETA (Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority) is currently seeking a skilled and motivated HR Administrator to join its dynamic team. This role holds significant importance in supporting SASSETA’s mission to enhance skills development within the safety and security sector.


    SASSETA HR Administrator Position Overview

    • Job Title: HR Administrator
    • Quantity: 1 position available
    • Availability: Starting from 4th July 2024
    • Contract Duration: Until 31 March 2030
    • Location: SASSETA Head Office, Waterfall Corporate Campus, Midrand, 2090
    • All-inclusive Annual Remuneration Package (TCTC): R352,306.00
    • Reporting: Reports directly to the Human Resources Manager

    About Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority

    The Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority is one of the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) in South Africa. Established to facilitate skills development within the safety and security sector, SASSETA plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of services provided by this critical industry.

    Through its comprehensive skills development initiatives, SASSETA has made a significant impact on the safety and security sector in South Africa. By upskilling the workforce, SASSETA has helped improve service delivery, increase employment opportunities, and enhance the overall safety and security of communities.

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum NQF Level 5 qualification in Human Resources Management.
    • At least 2 years of experience in general HR duties.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in coordinating meetings and taking minutes.
    • Moderate knowledge of Human Resources Information (HRI) Systems.
    • Understanding of South African Labour Legislation.
    • Intermediate computer literacy.

    Responsibilities:

    • Recruitment and Selection Support: Assist in administrative tasks during the recruitment and selection processes.
    • Performance Management System: Provide administrative support in the implementation of the performance management system.
    • Secretarial Services: Serve as a secretary for HR Committees, including organizing meetings and taking minutes.
    • Training and Development: Support the implementation of training and development programs for employees.
    • Workforce Administration: Administer workforce profiles following staff movements within the organization.
    • Exit Processes: Manage the administrative aspects of employee exit processes.
    • HR Correspondence and Invoices: Maintain the HR correspondence register and process invoices for HR service providers.
    • Records Management: Ensure proper filing of HR records both physically and electronically.
    • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other delegated duties as assigned by the HR Manager.

    Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes Required:

    • Planning and organizing skills.
    • Excellent administration skills.
    • Proficiency in minutes taking.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
    • Team player with attention to detail.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
    • Effective record-keeping and information management abilities.
    • Report writing and problem-solving skills.
    • Analytical mindset with a focus on meeting deadlines.
