Minimum Requirements:
- Qualifications: BVSc degree, BVMCh, or equivalent professional veterinary qualification.
- Registration: Registered as a Veterinarian with the SAVC.
- Experience: Demonstrated clinical expertise.
- Knowledge: Adequate subject knowledge for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Service: Provide clinical services and handle associated administrative tasks within various sections of Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital (OVAH) under specialist mentorship.
- After-Hours and Community Work: Engage in after-hours work (weekdays and weekends) and community clinical activities on a rotational basis, including trauma and emergency medicine.
- Student Training: Participate in the clinical training of undergraduate veterinary and veterinary nursing students, including supervising clinical procedures.
- Clinical Rounds and Research: Join clinical rounds and partake in research activities as an introduction to the research requirements of the MMedVet program.
- Intern Mentorship: Benefit from an intern mentorship program designed to support professional development as a prospective specialist.

- Communication: Effective language and communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications (Windows, MS Office, Internet, etc.).

Remuneration:
- Salary: R334,338.00 per annum.
- Additional Benefits: Remuneration and/or time off for night duties.
