    The Office of the Chief Justice in South Africa is currently seeking dedicated and capable individuals to fill the position of Registrars Clerk. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the Labour and Labour Appeals Court in Johannesburg.     • Salary: R216 417 – R254 928 per annum (Level 05)
    • Location: Labour And Labour Appeals Court, Johannesburg
    • Closing Date for Applications: 19 July 2024

    Registrar’s Clerk Responsibilities

    As a Registrar’s Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the case flow management of the court. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Rendering effective and efficient case flow management support service to the Court.
    • Attending to stakeholders’ enquiries and correspondences.
    • Ensuring proper filing and safekeeping of all court records.
    • Administering all appeal and petition processes.
    • Receiving, processing, and allocating case numbers to all pleadings.
    • Performing general administrative duties as required.

    Key Requirements

    To be considered for the Registrar’s Clerk position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • A Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification.
    • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is advantageous.
    • Understanding of appeal processes and petition procedures is beneficial.
    • Experience in general administration or court-related functions will be advantageous.
    • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
    • Good administration and organizing skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in computer literacy (MS Office).
    • Good interpersonal and public relations skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
    • Numerical skills and attention to detail.
    • Customer service-oriented skills.

    Important Notes

    • Applications on the old Z83 form will not be considered.
    • Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
    • Dual citizenship holders must provide a Police Clearance certificate from their country of origin when shortlisted.
    • Non-South African citizens must submit proof of South African permanent residence when shortlisted.
    • All shortlisted candidates will undergo a personnel suitability check.
