Baxter Theatre Centre – Bartender Position Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Matric certificate or equivalent qualification (NQF4 level).
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and at least one other official language.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: Capable of performing effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
- Emergency Response: Alertness and quick-thinking abilities in emergency situations.
- Customer Service: Strong sense of customer service to deliver friendly and efficient service.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) systems.
- Advantageous: Work Experience: Three to five years of experience in the hospitality sector, specifically in food and beverages.
Bartender Duties and Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient customer service to patrons and staff at the Baxter Theatre Centre.
- Stock Control: Control and account for stock within the Baxter Bar.
- Beverage Service: Serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons.
- Sales Processing: Process orders and sales transactions using the electronic point of sale system.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and cleaning bar equipment and service areas.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to the Liquor Act of the Western Cape and the standard code of conduct of the Baxter Theatre Bar.
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile day-end sales and cash transactions.
- Additional Responsibilities: Assist in parking and other duties as required.
