    The Department of Health is pleased to announce exciting work opportunities for suitably qualified candidates under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). The department is looking for motivated and skilled individuals to fill five positions as Admin Assistants in the EPWP Reporting System.


    Admin Assistant Positions Overview

    • Position: Admin Assistant (EPWP Reporting System)
    • Number of Positions: 5
    • Monthly Stipend: R3 850.00
    • Centre: Provincial Office [Chief Directorate: Infrastructure Management]
    • Closing date: 12 July 2024.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of Grade 12/Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4.
    • Certificate/Diploma or Degree in Administration or Statistical Information Science.
    • Experience in Data Mining, Capturing, and Analysis.
    • Minimum of one year experience in using Data Management packages, especially Microsoft Excel.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Develop and maintain EPWP reports.
    • Ability to work at a fast pace, under pressure, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Capture monthly progress reports on the EPWPRS.
    • Provide exceptional reports on data received and captured.
    • Reconcile reports received/expected and advise supervisor on outstanding reports.
    • Ensure confidentiality of all collected and stored data.
    • Problem-solving, planning, organizing, and decision-making skills.
    • Conflict resolution and good interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to speak, read, and write English and any other local language.

    Note: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a practical test in computer skills as part of the selection process.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Timely data capturing verification and sending reports timeously to the relevant level.
    • Organize and manage all records and documents in prescribed formats, both soft copies and files.
    • Maintain databases appropriate to the various records, reports, and documents.
    • Data capturing and preparation of all databases and monthly reporting.
    • Prepare submissions to various offices/project managers and follow up as necessary.

      • Attach copies of required qualifications, Identity document, and a comprehensive CV.
      • Shortlisted candidates must provide certified copies of all relevant qualifications and a copy of ID during the interview.
      • Separate applications should be completed for each center applied for.
      • Ensure the new Z83 form is fully completed and signed.

    2. Important Considerations:
      • All details in Part A, Part C, and Part D of the Z83 form must be completed.
      • South African applicants do not need to provide passport numbers.
      • If an applicant responded “NO” to conducting business with the State, it is acceptable to leave certain fields blank.
      • If an applicant’s profession requires official registration, provide details. If not applicable, leave it blank.
      • Indicate “refer to Curriculum Vitae (CV)” for Parts E, F, and G if the CV provides the required information.
      • The CV is an extension of the Z83 form, and applicants are accountable for the information provided.
      • Ensure all conditions that prevent re-appointment under Part F are answered.
    3. Additional Information:
      • Successful candidates are expected to work eight hours per day.
