    Finance Clerk Job Overview

    • Job Title: Finance Clerk
    • Location: Boland College, Paarl Campus
    • Start Date: 1 March 2025 to 30 June 2025
    • Salary: R 18 034.75 per month plus 37 percent in lieu of benefits
    • Working Hours: 40 hours per week
    • Reference Number: BC/SUP/FIN/01/25
    • Closing Date: 16 February 2025

    Minimum Requirements

    To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    Education:

    • Senior Certificate (Matric) or Equivalent qualification with Accounting as a subject.

    Work Experience:

    • At least one year of work experience in a Finance Department.

    Technical Skills & Knowledge:

    • High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
    • Basic knowledge of a financial system such as Sage software or similar.
    • Experience in assets and procurement processes.
    • Strong understanding of financial regulations and procedures.

    Communication & Additional Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • A valid driver’s license is required.

    Job Responsibilities

    As a Finance Clerk, your main duties will include:

    Asset Management Support:

    • Assisting with asset management-related clerical tasks.

    Procurement & Acquisition Support:

    • Helping with demand and acquisition processes to ensure smooth operations.

    Logistical Services:

    • Handling logistical tasks related to finance and procurement.

    Budget Support:

    • Assisting with budget-related processes and financial documentation.

    Ad-Hoc Financial Duties:

    • Supporting various finance-related activities as needed.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensuring adherence to all applicable financial regulations and statutory requirements.

    Recommended Qualifications & Skills

    Although not mandatory, the following qualifications and skills will be an advantage:

    Education:

    • Recognized National Diploma or Equivalent Qualification with Accounting as a subject.

    Work Experience:

    • One year of experience in a TVET Finance environment.

    Language Proficiency:

    Being multilingual will be beneficial.
