The IT Temp Trainee role is an entry-level position designed to support end-users in the National Office by providing one-on-one training on the use of computer hardware, peripherals, and non-application software programs. Key Responsibilities
As an IT Temp Trainee, you will be responsible for the following:
- Computer Hardware Installation, Maintenance, and Support: Setting up and maintaining computer hardware to ensure all equipment is functional and up to date.
- Software Installation, Maintenance, and Support: Installing and updating software to ensure that all systems run smoothly and efficiently.
- User Support and Training: Providing end-user support and one-on-one training to staff members on how to effectively use computer systems and software applications.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following skills, knowledge, and attributes:
- Educational Qualification: A recognized Grade 12 certificate and a three-year computer qualification obtained from a University, Technikon, or another acknowledged tertiary institution.
- Work Experience: At least one year of relevant experience working in an Information Systems (IS) Department in a support role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer hardware and software support.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to handle ambiguity, meet deadlines, and manage projects effectively.
