    The Department of Public Works in Limpopo is inviting applications for several job positions across different districts. These positions provide an opportunity for skilled professionals and entry-level workers to join the public sector and contribute to the development and maintenance of government infrastructure.


    Limpopo Department of Public Works Roads and Infrastructure Vacancies

    1. Admin Officer: ICT Infrastructure & Operational Support (Ref No. S.413/7/18)

    • Location: Head Office
    • Salary: R308,154.00 per annum
    • Salary Level: 07
    • Minimum Requirements:
      • NQF level 6 qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science/Studies, or Informatics as recognized by SAQA.
      • 1-2 years of experience in the ICT environment.
      • Valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).
    • Skills and Knowledge:
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange and Office Suites, networks, and cabling.
      • Understanding of ICT legislation, SITA services, and ICT international standards.
    • Key Performance Areas:
      • Support and maintain ICT infrastructure and assets.
      • Provide first-line ICT support to users in collaboration with service providers.
      • Draft specifications for new ICT equipment and maintain an electronic assets register.

    2. Personal Assistant: Chief Directorate EPWP (Ref No. S.4/3/4/4)

    • Location: Head Office
    • Salary: R308,154.00 per annum
    • Salary Level: 07
    • Minimum Requirements:
      • NQF level 6 qualification in Secretarial/Management Assistant/Office Administration.
      • 1-2 years of experience in office management or administration.
      • Valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).
    • Skills and Knowledge:
      • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
      • Good interpersonal relations and time management.
    • Key Performance Areas:
      • Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Director.
      • Manage the flow of documents and information.
      • Coordinate meetings and handle procurement for the Chief Directorate.

    3. Artisan Production Grade A (Various Districts)

    • Location: Mopani, Waterberg, Sekhukhune, and Capricorn Districts
    • Salary: R230,898.00 per annum
    • Salary Level: OSD
    • Minimum Requirements:
      • Appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
      • Valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).
    • Skills and Knowledge:
      • Technical analysis and report writing skills.
      • Knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations, and safety measures.
    • Key Performance Areas:
      • Maintenance of building and road infrastructure.
      • Supervision of technical projects and mentorship of staff.
      • Ensure quality assurance of produced objects and technical designs.

    4. Admin Clerk: Auxiliary Services (Ref No. S.4/3/8/76)

    • Location: Vhembe District
    • Salary: R216,417.00 per annum
    • Salary Level: 05
    • Minimum Requirements:
      • NQF level 4 qualification as recognized by SAQA.
      • Valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).
    • Skills and Knowledge:
      • Basic knowledge of public service administration and fleet services.
      • Good communication and interpersonal relations.
    • Key Performance Areas:
      • Provide administrative support for fleet management and office services.
      • Handle procurement and stock control of office items.
      • Maintain registers and records for the component.

    5. Driver / Messenger (Ref No. S.4/3/5/5)

    • Location: Head Office – Polokwane
    • Salary: R183,279.00 per annum
    • Salary Level: 04
    • Minimum Requirements:
      • NQF level 1 or 2 (Abet level 2 certificate) as recognized by SAQA.
      • 7 to 8 months of driving experience.
      • Valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).
    • Skills and Knowledge:
      • Good communication skills and knowledge of vehicle operation procedures.
    • Key Performance Areas:
      • Collect and deliver documents and parcels for the office of the executive authority.
      • Transport employees and guests as required.
      • Record vehicle usage and maintain the allocated vehicle.

    • Form Submission: Applications must be submitted using the Z83 form, available from Public Service Departments or online at www.dpsa.gov.za and www.labour.gov.za.
    Completing the Z83 Form
    • Required Sections:
      • All fields in Part A, C, and D must be completed.
      • Part B: Most fields must be filled, but South African applicants do not need to provide passport numbers.
      • If applicants respond “no” to certain business-related questions, they can leave relevant sections blank.
    • CV Requirements:
      • Due to space constraints in Parts E, F, and G, applicants may state “refer to CV” if the CV is attached.
      • The CV must be comprehensive; failure to include required information may result in disqualification.

    Candidate Selection Process
    • Pre-Entry Programme: Successful completion of the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme is required for SMS posts.
    • Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a technical exercise and competency assessment, following interviews.
    • Performance Agreement: The selected candidate must sign a performance agreement within one month of starting.

    • Foreign Qualifications: Applicants must have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
