    Minimum Requirements

    • South African Citizenship: Only South African citizens are eligible to apply.
    • Residency: Must be a resident of the City of Ekurhuleni.
    • Educational Qualifications: A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent. Higher educational qualifications will be considered an advantage.
    • Administrative Skills: Practical skills in administration are essential. A certificate in administration is an added advantage.
    • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in computer skills is required.
    • Clean Record: No criminal record or pending criminal cases.
    • Additional Requirements: Candidates must include their ward number when applying.

    Responsibilities

    The role of a Safety Administrator is crucial to the efficient functioning of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department. The core responsibilities include:

    1. Administrative Support: Manage and ensure the provision of efficient and effective administrative services. This includes implementing procedures and applying systems to ensure the smooth running of the Expanded Public Employment Programme (EPEP).
    2. Report Management: Receive and consolidate reports from Team Leaders. Ensure timely submission of weekly reports and attendance registers to the Senior Supervisor.
    3. Confidentiality: Manage documents containing classified information and adhere strictly to confidentiality principles.
    4. Filing System: Create and maintain an organized and unique filing system tailored to the department’s needs.
    5. Correspondence: Minute meetings and type correspondence as required by the project manager.
    6. Application Limitation: Applicants are limited to applying for only one category within the department.
    7. HR System Requirements: Applicants must not be active on the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) HR System when the programme commences.
