    The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced exciting job opportunities for individuals interested in serving as Grants Administrators. These positions are ideal for those who are detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping communities by ensuring the efficient processing of social grants.


    Available Positions and Locations

    SASSA is looking to fill 9 Grants Administrator positions in the following local offices:

    • Chesterville Local Office (Ref No: G19/2024)
    • Durban Local Office (x3) (Ref No: G19/2024)
    • Emanzimtoti Local Office (Ref No: G20/2024)
    • Ethekwini Local Office (Ref No: G21/2024)
    • Inanda Local Office (Ref No: G22/2024)
    • New Hanover Local Office (Ref No: G23/2024)
    • Ongoye Local Office (Ref No: G24/2024)

    The salary range for these positions is R216,417.00 – R254,928.00 per annum, excluding benefits.

    Minimum Requirements

    To qualify for these positions, candidates must meet the following requirements:

    1. Educational Qualification: A Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4).
    2. Skills: Computer literacy is essential.

    Added Advantage:

    • A valid driver’s license.
    • Experience in administrative or clerical roles.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    As a Grants Administrator, your primary duties will include:

    1. Assisting with the administration of social grants at the local office level.
    2. Screening all grant applications to ensure compliance.
    3. Capturing grant applications on the SASSA system.
    4. Providing excellent customer care to grant applicants.
    5. Processing and managing grant documentation.
    6. Performing other grant-related administrative functions.
    7. Ensuring quality control of applications.
    8. Adhering to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
